Scholastic Synergy: Where Education Meets Innovation
Welcome to Scholastic Synergy: Where Education Meets Innovation
Hello and welcome to Scholastic Synergy! I'm Mrs. Altieri Harris, MBA, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself and share my passion for education.
As an English Teacher at Woodlawn High School, I bring a unique blend of academic and business expertise to the classroom. My journey includes teaching and being a business educator and owner. I hold a bachelor's degree in management and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.
My mission is simple yet profound: to empower students to become the best versions of themselves. I believe in teaching the whole child, recognizing that each student has unique learning styles and needs. This belief drives my non-traditional approach to education, where I integrate critical business concepts to help students navigate the complex educational landscape.
One of my key strategies is having each student complete a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis at the beginning of each semester. This exercise helps students identify areas for improvement and learn how to leverage their strengths and opportunities. It's a powerful tool that enhances their academic performance and prepares them for future challenges.
My guiding principle is, "Everyone is a genius of something. We just have to find out what that is." This philosophy underpins everything I do in the classroom. I'm committed to helping each student discover their unique talents and abilities, fostering an environment where diversity in thinking and learning is celebrated.
I aim to share insights, strategies, and experiences that reflect this educational philosophy. Whether you're a fellow educator, a student, or someone interested in innovative approaches to learning, I hope you'll find value in the content shared here.
Join me on this exciting journey of exploration, growth, and empowerment. Together, let's redefine what's possible in education!
